A/Prof Joyce Siette is a research fellow (health and wellbeing) at the MARCS Institute, Western Sydney University. Her research is largely focused on understanding the behavioural and social mechanisms underpinning healthy brain lifestyles in older adults. Between 2015 and 2021, Joyce was a Research Fellow at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University and used data analytics to build an Australian context-sensitive health informatics framework for older adults receiving aged care.

Since 2022, at the MARCS Institute and School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Science, she continues her journey in unravelling the social determinants of cognitive impairment in older adults and to explore how digital health and informatics, data analytics and interoperability can support healthy brain ageing.  Joyce is also Co-chair of the AAG NSW Division.
